Tesla FSD to upgrade pothole avoidance and navigation learning, Grok voice car control also in integration
Tesla AI team lead software engineer Phil Duan confirmed that improvements to FSD for pothole avoidance and navigation route-selection logic will soon be released. Pothole avoidance has been promised since 2019 and is listed in the FSD v14.3 update notes, but it is not yet certain whether it will be pushed with a minor patch or wait until FSD v15; FSD v15 is expected to bring a neural network upgrade with 10 billion parameters.
