AI learning paths: start with the task you need to complete
If you are unsure which AI term to start with, choose a task first. These paths connect coding, knowledge bases, and image processing with the concepts and checks needed to complete them.
Choose a task, then follow its learning path
The learning paths organize reading around a task; you do not need to finish the whole wiki first. Each path moves from choosing an approach to practical work and result checks. Use the wiki for a single term or go straight to troubleshooting when something fails. Tested guides retain separate input evidence so a method description is not mistaken for an executed test.
Start with a small change when using AI to code
For a first attempt, choose a reproducible interface problem. Describe the original behavior and the expected result. You do not need to install every tool while reading the coding path. Complete one task in the existing environment to see where an agent is useful.
If code has already been generated, begin with acceptance. A page opening successfully does not establish that its key actions work. Repeat the originally failing operation, then use the relevant articles to investigate dependency versions or context organization.

Move from tool choice to an inspectable delivery record.
- Start with coding agents
Check the source before building document Q&A
For a knowledge base, first identify which questions the collection can answer. Match expected answers to source passages and check whether extraction preserves their conditions. The knowledge-base path checks retrieval and generation separately to locate the stage behind a wrong answer.
When sources change frequently, keep version information and repeat a question to check that the answer uses the update. Before sharing, test with accounts that have different permissions. A similar retrieved passage is not necessarily applicable evidence.
- Follow the knowledge-base path
Move from source selection to citation, access, and update checks.
- Start with retrieval and generation in RAG
Identify the output before processing an image
Use the OCR route to turn a screenshot into text; evaluate upscaling when you need larger image dimensions. The image path identifies the outputs to inspect and links to tests with retained originals. If a field is unreadable in the input, obtain a clearer source before judging what processing can achieve.
Check the sample conditions when reading a test. One desktop-browser trial does not establish performance on phone photos, and a returned file may still contain text errors. Keep your original input after the checks so parameter changes can be compared under the same conditions.
- Follow the image and OCR path
Move from selecting an operation to checking the downloaded file.

Choose more paths by work task
If a task has no model choice yet, start with the same-task comparison method. For office, video, or voice deliverables, use the relevant path and check the actual input and result. Use the API deployment path when integrating with an application.
These paths connect wiki and troubleshooting pages around checkable task completion. Use the research hub for executed samples and editorial updates for later changes. Capabilities not executed remain within the scope of their documentation.
- Model selection: compare a fixed task
- Office AI: verify documents and spreadsheets
- AI video: inspect shots and final files
- Voice AI: verify transcription and synthesis separately
- API integration: from requests to recoverable releases
- Research material: reuse protocols and samples
- Editorial updates: inspect real changes
