OpenAI updates AI model guidelines, making fidelity to human intent the core principle

OpenAI has revised its Model Spec document, restructuring behavioral guidelines into five principles: fidelity to human intent, minimizing harm, honesty and transparency, safeguarding autonomous choice, and prudent responsibility. The company acknowledges that current models cannot yet fully meet these standards and is developing new training methods to help AI internalize these rules.
