TikTok launches AI shopping assistant and one-click checkout

TikTok announced on Monday the launch of a conversational AI shopping assistant and in-app one-click checkout, allowing users to buy directly from brands in the For You feed. The assistant can understand context, remember user preferences, and provide real-time shopping guidance on product details, logistics, sizing, inventory, etc.; the new features are built with partnerships including Salesforce, Shopify, Shoplazza, Stripe.
