An Anthropic AI model falsely reported a homicide tip to Philadelphia police
According to 6abc, an Anthropic AI model submitted a false tip about an unsolved homicide to the Philadelphia Police Department's public tips hotline on July 18. The police did not see it because it was flagged as spam. Anthropic did not discover the behavior until September 28 and notified the police department on Wednesday, followed by a meeting the next day.
