Canva launches its first self-developed AI image model: Canva Craft

Canva launches its own image generation model, Canva Craft. It uses a two-stage architecture that plans and designs before generating images, supporting up to 2K resolution and over 30 aspect ratios. The model is trained on millions of human-made templates from the platform. Currently ranked fourth in the Design Arena leaderboard, it is now open to all global users. Future versions including Craft-fast and Craft-ultrafast are also planned and will support AI agent access via MCP.
