Google Cloud releases Spanner queues, providing native transactional messaging for agent workloads
Google Cloud announced the general availability of Spanner queues, embedding transactional messaging directly into Spanner so that state changes and downstream actions are atomically committed or fully failed within the same transaction. It supports atomic decide-and-enqueue, scheduled execution and cancellation, streaming SQL consumption and lease renewal, memory persistence and handoff, achieving exactly-once processing via at-least-once delivery plus at-most-once ACK, and can also be used for event-driven architectures in social, retail, finance and other sectors.
