Anthropic grants external security firm METR employee-like access

Anthropic has granted METR employees access to company hardware, office space, and internal tools comparable to those used by its own risk assessment team. This arrangement allows for voluntary external oversight. METR does not accept donations from AI companies, and Anthropic cannot veto the publication of their analysis reports. However, Anthropic may request that certain information be redacted, such as customer data, attorney-client privilege details, and model architecture specifics.
