OpenAI's Altman says concerns over data center water use lack data support
Altman pointed out that although data centers are often seen as 'heavy water consumers', the actual water usage of modern data centers is roughly equivalent to that of an office building. 'This claim has become a very stubborn meme that is hard to dispel, but I think it falls apart upon serious examination.'
