Upgraded OpenAI's ChatGPT Chrome extension now allows direct access to browser tabs and execution of actions. Users can specify tabs using @chrome; the Chat mode pulls data from multiple tabs simultaneously, while Work mode leverages Computer Use to control tabs for sending messages, filling forms, downloading files, or grouping tabs. GPT-6 Astra is currently hailed as the strongest Computer Use model.
