SpaceX acquires AI programming company Cursor in a deal valued at 60 billion dollars
SpaceX's xAI business is currently focused on strengthening AI programming capabilities. Musk himself once admitted that xAI is especially behind competitors in programming tools. To catch up with companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI, xAI had been recruiting engineers from Cursor.
