Google Assistant mobile gradually discontinued from September 4, Gemini fully takes over
Deactivation work has started; eligible Android devices will switch automatically, migration will be completed in batches, and will later gradually expand to more Google devices. Gemini has stronger capabilities; devices that do not meet configuration requirements or are in unopened regions will temporarily retain the assistant.
