Approximately 70% of websites affected: PHP high-risk vulnerability fixed, OpenAI leads global discovery and remediation

OpenAI released a post yesterday (October 21) announcing its 'Patch the Planet' initiative. The program helped security researchers identify two critical vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language. OpenAI has coordinated with the PHP maintenance team, security firms, cloud providers, and cybersecurity agencies across multiple countries to complete approximately two months of coordinated remediation before public disclosure.
