Study says University of Texas graduates' unemployment rate rose to abnormally high level during rapid AI development
Researchers at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas found that job postings in industries heavily impacted by AI have decreased significantly since the release of ChatGPT, with college graduates facing particularly sharp impacts. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, job postings for positions heavily affected by AI dropped by approximately 8%, whereas changes for less affected positions remained minimal.
