arXiv limits: Maximum of two paper submissions per person per month to cope with the flood of AI papers
Starting October 1, 2026, arXiv will set a monthly submission limit of two papers per person, as monthly submissions have exceeded 40,000, doubling over two years. The cs.AI category alone has grown more than sixfold, overwhelming volunteer reviewers.
