Crowdstrike Reports Suspected Single Person Using AI Penetration Tool to Attack Multiple South Korean Banks

Crowdstrike reports that a suspected Chinese speaker used the AI-driven open-source penetration testing tool ARTEX to attack multiple South Korean financial institutions from late September to early October 2026, stealing large amounts of data, among which Shinhan Bank had over 25,000 records containing names, contact information, income and credit limits leaked.
