Anthropic has abandoned Git in favor of its self-developed version control system, Scion.
Anthropic has announced it is phasing out Git in favor of its proprietary Scion system, moving code management operations to the server side. Daily merge volumes have surged from over 2,500 to more than 30,000, placing immense strain on Git. Scion consumes only one-hundredth of the CPU and memory that Git requires, reducing CI code checkout times from minutes to seconds.
