Shopify opens catalog of over 1 billion products to more AI agents

Shopify announced that shoppers can configure any AI agent to browse and purchase items on their behalf, covering over 1 billion listings in its catalog, no longer limited to previous integrations such as Meta Muse. Users must connect the agent account via the Shop platform, check out with one click in the conversation through Shop Pay, and each purchase requires buyer approval, with rules such as budget or delivery speed that can be set.
