OpenAI acquires AI biotech startup Orchestra Bio
OpenAI announced on Tuesday its acquisition of Orchestra Bio, a four-year-old AI biotech software startup. The deal size was not disclosed. According to reports, Orchestra raised approximately $20 million in funding by the end of 2025 from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Atria, and 8VC. Orchestra develops AI agents that help biotech companies manage operational details of drug R&D, such as financial tracking and clinical trial scheduling.
