AI Built a Model in Blender. Can the Next Person Actually Edit It?

What to consider
blender-asset-studio requires an existing Blender installation and MCP connection; installing the skill does not install the entire 3D environment. Its README treats geometry checks, scene saving and exported-file checks separately, and distinguishes Codex and Claude setup. Seeing a model inside Blender completes only part of the handoff.
Before starting generation, clearly define how the assets will be used next.
Before generation begins, clearly outline how the assets will be used. Ask what software the recipient needs to continue processing in, whether dimensions, structure, or appearance will change, and what final scenarios they are intended for. Turn these requirements into simple delivery instructions, then test with a representative asset. This ensures generated output aligns with actual use cases, reducing rework after delivery.
Go through both preview checks and actual modifications.
Visual checks should focus on proportions, outlines, and occlusion relationships relevant to delivery purposes, marking specific issues at their corresponding locations. If further editing is needed, ensure the object organization in the project allows recipients to easily locate parts requiring modification. A beautiful preview may demonstrate presentation quality, but whether the project can continue operating requires actual opening and confirmation.
Select the most likely post-delivery modification—such as adjusting a component's position or changing its appearance—and execute it fully to generate a new output. Document whether other sections need to be redone and if original relationships are lost. Adjust your generation instructions based on actual problems encountered, rather than repeatedly judging from the same preview angle.
Review exported assets in the receiving environment to ensure consistency.
Export the asset as agreed, then open it in the receiving environment and check its position, size and appearance against the intended use. Keep the project version, export settings and any problems the recipient finds in one delivery record. If the results differ, identify whether the discrepancy arose during generation, export or import before deciding what to change.
Check results with a fixed input
For an acceptance sample, request a red one-metre cube in both .blend and GLB formats. The recipient should be able to change its size in .blend and import the GLB into the target tool to check dimensions, orientation, material and object names. An image-only result or a hundredfold scale error remains an export issue. Blender and this import test were not run here.
