Agents now have virtual screens: How to let them work without interrupting you?
Yomado now has a public repository and Apple Silicon build notes.
What to consider
Yomado now has a public repository and Apple Silicon build notes. Its current README explicitly says it shares the user’s login session, keyboard and mouse focus and input. A virtual display does not guarantee noninterference; physical-monitor-off and long unattended operation still have unverified aspects. The earlier blanket statement that platform support was unknown also needed updating.
First define which interruptions make work impossible to continue
List the situations you mind most, such as target window changes while typing, current materials being replaced, or not knowing where files are saved after task completion. Align trial tasks with these specific scenarios to easily judge which problems the tool solves and which still require manual arrangement.
Give the Agent a clear task: use specified materials to produce results at an agreed location, stopping and explaining when facing unclear choices. Do not let it traverse the entire computer or process many applications simultaneously from the start; shorter tasks make it easier to identify where interruptions occur.
Confirm window and account ownership beyond just the visuals
Check whether the screen and operational goals actually seen by the Agent are consistent, then verify application windows, login accounts, and save directories separately. During trials, have a human perform normal input simultaneously to observe whether the two workflows interfere with each other, and confirm after task completion that the original work can continue.
These are inspection suggestions for virtual display-type tools, not yomado's passed test results. Based solely on the current excerpt, one cannot claim it isolates all applications, shared data, or input operations, nor can one determine which system and software combinations can be used directly.
How to leave handover-ready results for background tasks
Agree that at the end of a task, the location of the output, completed steps, and pending choices will be provided. If operations involve submission or overwriting, mark nodes requiring human confirmation in advance. This way, even if stopped midway, humans can determine where to take over rather than guessing progress from only the last screenshot.
Turn the discussion into a checkable task
For a trial, move one nonpersonal test window and check screenshots, keyboard input and return to the original display, then check conflicts with human input. Test locking, monitor standby and unattended operation separately; a Calculator demo does not establish reliability for Blender. No virtual display or desktop-layout change was made here.
