PSI proves the Arsenin–Anbaine conjecture proposed in 2008 using an unreleased Anthropic model.
Physical Superintelligence (PSI) announced that it proved the Aaronson-Ambainis conjecture—a question in quantum computing frozen since 2008—in just three days using an AI model from Anthropic that has not yet been released. The proof results show that for a quantum computer to achieve certain exponential speed advantages, it must rely on special patterns or structures inherent to the problem; performance gains are not guaranteed in all scenarios. Previously researchers who studied this conjecture described the achievement as a major breakthrough.
