Understand data use and control analytics
HotAI.news provides AI news, learning resources and browser tools. Delivering the site requires processing connection information. Analytics, account bookmarks and submitted correction reports serve separate purposes: improving the site, syncing saved items and responding to reports. Tool files are processed in the browser; the site has no processing endpoint for uploading them. You can exclude the current browser from analytics in Analytics Preferences, or contact us through the corrections form with a privacy request.
Analytics and site delivery
Cloudflare provides network delivery. We use self-hosted Umami analytics and tool-event metrics. Requests can involve IP addresses, browser and device information, visit times, page paths, referrers and approximate location. This supports page delivery, abuse prevention, traffic analysis and tool improvements. Approximate location may differ from your actual location.
Our analytics script filters page addresses and event fields. It does not send tool-file contents, complete search input or account passwords. Page views are not treated as a count of unique people. Analytics Preferences can exclude the current browser. The choice is stored locally and must be set again after clearing site storage or switching browsers.
Accounts, saved items and correction reports
Registration and sign-in use an email address, password-verification data and necessary session cookies. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Account and bookmark records are held in a private database, rather than published. Guest bookmarks, language choices and some preferences are stored in the current browser. Signed-in bookmarks can sync across devices.
The corrections form stores the explanation, links and optional email address you submit to support review and responses. Saving a report does not publish it or automatically email a third party. Storage, security and policy updates
Account, correction and analytics records are kept in private services for site functions, request handling, security and backup maintenance. This page does not promise automatic deletion across every system within a fixed number of days.
